Sarah Partridge started her career as an actress opposite Tom Cruise in "Risky Business" as Kessler. In addition to several roles in television and film, her work in voiceovers included starring roles in "My Little Pony: The Movie", `"My Little Pony" the series (Generation 1), and "Defenders Of The Earth". Her career in music started in 1994 when she accepted a dare at a karaoke night at the Improv in Los Angeles and sang Gershwin's "Summertime.” The impromptu performance caught the ear of a booker, who promptly hired her to perform in a concert with top tier L.A. jazz musicians. In 1998 Partridge released her first album "I'll Be Easy To Find" to much acclaim. She is a "throwback to those diamond nights in Manhattan bistros." said the New York Daily News.
Partridge's five following studio albums have garnered national and international attention. Her latest release, "Bright Lights & Promises: Redefining Janis Ian" (Origin Records) landed on 3 "Best jazz albums of 2017" lists. Partridge is also songwriter. Her compositions have been described as "modern classics". She has written for Downbeat Magazine and appeared on Good Morning America. In addition to playing jazz clubs, Sarah performs at festivals and several performing arts centers, including the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, where she saluted the late great Les Paul.
